My favorite thing about PVP is the beautiful hats. Here I am modelling a gorgeous Dragon hat.

Of course, the spring rage is Templar-style. Isn’t it pretty?

I get a lot of Templar hats, for some reason. This was my first hat ever, I think? I got it during the awesome Seven Days of Stonehenge event, which I still remember so fondly. So suave!

Sadly, I don’t often get to wear my hats for all that long, as for some reason my pretty hats attract all the Hard Resets to the yard…

… Trashy PVE-er moonlighting as PVP healer here. My build is something like this and my stats are roughly 1k Crit rating, ~400 Crit power and ~400 block. Less than optimal, but I only have my PVE equipment to work with at this point.

I’m not a great PVP healer by any means (though I am lucky to often run with one of the greats!) but I have had some good times, including some exciting adventures (inadvertently) tanking a custodian and keeping folks up as wave after wave of enemies comes in. (See Dragon hat, above) While I’m known to go in as a DPS too now and then, I love the franticness of keeping everyone up around me and the fact that on my good days, I can help turn the tide from everyone just getting mown down to an actual, longer, fun fight.

For a long time I was afraid of PVP and would only venture in when friends were going. I was finally motivated to go in more through a combination of the 7 Days of Stonehenge, hanging out more with ARGO and friends, and being told that I could get mats there for my #)$*#$ Augments. I quickly became a fan. PVP offers an adrenaline rush I don’t always get from PVE content any more, and I love that I have to constantly be vigilant and adapt. It’s really improved my situational awareness, helping me in dungeons and scens too. While I’m still not a regular, I now will happily wander in on my own nowadays and have a great time dying and laughing.
