We made her ours, stole her from Death itself, the one who had claimed her still hunts her.

She was one of our first of the new sweetlings. Perhaps we did it wrong?

A man enters the subway in Kaidan. A man desperate for worth. A nothing that would become the fulcrum of so much. He carries an artifact. A dirty bomb. A Filthy bomb. It was brought from far away by ship. Intrigues, bribes, double-crosses and treachery brought it here. There was a plan, but he never makes it there. He is stopped. He panics. He presses the button.

She is there. She sighs at the sound beside her. Looks up, Sees his face. Knows his name.
Then all goes dark, Blackworm Jism bukkake. Skin crawling with tentacled violation and death. The train lurches.

Victoria Fukyū Thompson was born Friday, October 13, 1995. Both her father and the family doctor report her birthing scream was interrupted when a bee flew into the newborns mouth. The doctor slapped the newborns behind as normal to clear the child’s airways and lost his grip, dropping Vicky on to her head for her first and likely record setting trip to the local well.

When their still living child was returned to the couple they thought it was a miracle. While she was named after her father’s late her mother chose her middle name after the child was returned to them. Since then her life has been plagued with misfortune, full of what those outside her family are lead to believe is a constant series of near death experiences. This was of course, a lie. There was nothing near about any of them.

She currently holds the record for confirmed non-Fusang related trips to wells, currently 2135 and climbing. If there is a way to die in a location, she will find it, or more accurately, it will find her. The Council and the Secret World has long been aware of Victoria and her proclivity and had been studying her from a distance, not able to approach her until her 18th birthday by Venice edict. Some have theorized she is cursed with a mystical misfortune, some believe misfortune is drawn to her. Another theory is that Death itself is upset at her for denying it from birth and keeps trying. None are certain however.
Due to her nature, her family has been marginally aware of the Secret World her whole life, moving to homes near local wells and trying to keep their daughter safe. They have constantly moved addresses when people begin to question too closely, always trying to find safer and safer locales.

Just before her 16th birthday she flew from Corvallis, Oregon (Safest City in the US to live in to avoid natural disasters) to Tokyo, Japan (Safest travel destination in the world, according to TripAdvisor.com) in order to spend a few days with relatives. She was last seen by multiple witnesses getting on the subway moments before the Tokyo event occurred.

The societies lost track of her, it was thought, until her recent 18th birthday, when the Dragon announced they had located her and brought her to Seoul…
