Welcome to episode 123 of Beyond The Veil: The Secret World where the cast talks about the newly released Power Weekend in The Secret World. The event is now over, but you can expect it to be back in the future. What special perks did we get during this weekend?

In light of the recent announcement that the new player experience is getting a revamp, we take a look at what the new players might consider of use based on their experience in the game so far and talk more about the in-game channels and their ChaTiiquette.

We also resurrected an old segment on deck building that we hope will be of benefit to players. Every couple of weeks, we’ll take a deck, play with it for a week and then talk about it on the next show. This week’s deck:

What’s it good for: solo play, Scenarios, Tokyo

VERDICT:
Pros: This is a deck that has a very decent amount of damage and lots of self-heals that can help you out when you find yourself surrounded by lots of mobs or in a prolonged fight and will help you survive. If your health is going down rapidly, hitting off Martial Discipline or Art of War will provide additional self-heals.
Cons: It’s melee range means you’re always in the thick of things, so make sure you constantly move during combat avoiding the ground aoe or filth. If you notice that you don’t have enough weapon power, consider exchanging one of the self-heal passives or even actives you might not use often for another ability that does more damage.
Stats: The end result of this build can vary greatly based on your stats (health, attack rating, heal rating, glyph distribution and signets). We got the best results by using at least one health piece and one heal piece. For additional tips on this deck, listen to the episode 🙂
